TurkStat announced that Turkey’s economy grew 0.9 percent in 2019. It achieved a 6 percent growth rate in the last quarter of 2019. With the growth in the fourth quarter, the fastest growth of the last 7 quarters was realized. Turkey’s economy was the world’s second fastest growing economy in the last quarter of 2019 according to the data.
Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI), calculated by the method of production last year, gross domestic product (GDP) announced the results. Accordingly, Turkey’s economy in 2019 was 0.9 percent, 6 percent growth recorded in the last quarter of last year. According to the production method, GDP at current prices increased by 14.9 percent in 2019 compared to the previous year and reached 4 trillion 280 billion 381 million liras. Turkey’s economy grew by 6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2019, this growth was realized by the fastest growth in the last seven quarters. Thus was the world’s second fastest growing economy in the last quarter according to data of Turkey’s economy.
